Shannon Stratton, director and chief curator of ThreeWalls, a non-profit visual arts organization dedicated to emerging artists, has selected artworks for
inclusion in the Curator's Choice Exhibition, a small group of work deemed "best of the fest" on view at the Around the Coyote Gallery October 11 until October 27.
This artwork will be on silent auction throughout the festival weekend with 65% of all proceeds going to the artists and 35% of all proceeds going to support Around the
Coyote's arts and education programming.

Included in this year's Curator's Choice Exhibition are works by Lisa Lindvay, who, through her austere color photography portraits,
explores the emotional and psychological currents and mythologies of family and domestic comfort. Stratton also chose work by Mara Baker. Baker recently relocated to Chicago
after finishing her MFA at Cranbrook, but the strength of her process-oriented practice, which incorporates fibers, drawing, sculpture, and video will ensure a swift and
solid transition into Chicago's emerging art scene.

For the Curator's Choice Exhibition, Stratton chose Baker's Glycerin, black ink and pen on mylar drawing Precipitation, 2007.
Curator's Choice artists include: Craig Anderson, Agata Czeremuszkin, Mara Baker, Leah Hessler, Sophia Pichinos, Iwona Biederman, Lisa Lindvay, Austin Eddy, Sari Maxfield, and

RE:Action Reading Series
The integration of literary and artistic visions provides the basis for the RE:Action Reading Series, curated by
Margot Bordelon (Lookinglass Theatre) and J. Adams Oaks (Serendipity Theatre Collective). Using the artwork of from our Curator's Choice Exhibition as inspiration, four emerging
writers will share works they created. Along with our curators, readers include Megan Stielstra and Ric Walker. October 11 at 8:30pm. Part of our 2007 Fall Arts Opening Night Celebration.

WPBGA Second Saturday Gallery Walk
In order to help the public experience all this, the Wicker Park Bucktown Gallery Association is holding a Second Saturday
Gallery Walk on October 13, 2007 from 6-10 pm at multiple galleries throughout Wicker Park and Bucktown. For those not interested in walking to each gallery, we will have IGO Car
Sharing shuttles ready to transport you from one stop to the next. The WPBGA unites the galleries in Wicker Park and Bucktown working to promote the neighborhood as a destination for
collectors and art world professionals through advertising, public programs and collaborative events, as well as working to add new galleries to the area. www.wpbga.com for maps and more

Around the Coyote, a 501(c)3 non-profit, supports, promotes and makes accessible Chicago's multidisciplinary arts community. Our activities enhance public discourse and provide creative outlets
for emerging artists. Year-round programming includes multi-media arts festivals featuring visual art, theater, dance, video and poetry in the spring and fall; art exhibitions in the Around the
Coyote gallery; an artist-in-residence program; membership opportunities for artists and art aficionados; educational outreach for all ages through multi-media art workshops, lectures,
collaborations with local schools and agencies, and career development workshops for artists. This programming is partially supported by a generous grant from Peroni beer, the Illinois Arts
