My goal in working with my photographic images is to capture a mood or a feeling. Many times the work has a dreamlike quality about it. No matter whether the subject is statuary, portrait, landscape or flora the goal is to convey the essence of the subject. My current project involves “found surfaces” which I photograph and then subsequently edit to enhance the inherent beauty they have. They become intense abstract images in the process. This past year I also have been painting. I work with acrylics and encaustic doing abstract works in the tradition of Joan Mitchell, Pollack and deKooning. Untitiled 1a
